Ars Nova Copenhagen was founded in 1979 and is widely recognized as one of the world’s finest vocal ensembles. The ensemble’s chief conductor and artistic director since 2003 is the acclaimed British conductor Paul Hillier.

The ensemble specializes in the interpretation of the polyphonic choral music of the renaissance and new vocal music. The group’s performances are marked with precision and nerve and with a sound that attracts attention worldwide. With an annual concert season in Copenhagen and Aarhus, numerous concerts in the rest of Denmark and recurring tours worldwide, the group is now more in demand than ever.

Banyan: “Bord dæk dig!”

“Bord, dæk dig!” is a musical shadow play for children and childish souls by the group Banyan. The show has its roots in a fairytale by the Brothers Grimm and is especially suitable for churches, where shadows, the effect full organ and the story telling altogether embraces the children in a unique and fantastic universe.

“Ensemble Cento was a young and professional chamber ensemble. The trademark for the ensemble was always to search for hidden contexts and therefore we summarised works that may seem very different, but by virtue of the concept of the concert, the immediate differences compliments each other.

We wanted to create a space where music, set design and atmosphere together create a seamless universe that embraces and integrates the audience. The starting point was always an artistic idea and we therefore chose our repertoire from themes to create a red thread through the performance.
The uniqueness lied in the ensemble’s ability attracting a young and curious audience, creating fertile ground for unconventional theme concerts.”

Pangea: Reality

Pangea is a diverse musical project with an elaborate concept behind. The ad hoc ensemble was put together to create and record the album Reality. The group consists of eight different artists that are routed in different genres such as jazz, classical, electronic and improvised music. The album was recorded at The Village Recording in Vanløse, January 2014.

The two sides of the 12″ vinyl deals with “What you care to much about” and “What you don’t care enough about” respectively, and the compositions names give a hint to the scope of the concept, names as Biology, Senses, Ego, Ethics, Culture and more.

The album can be purchased as a beautiful vinyl by contacting me.
