Hanne Marie le Fevre is a classically trained mezzo soprano and performance artist. As a singer she works both as a soloist and ensemble singer, mainly in the field of early and contemporary music. She is educated from The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and Copenhagen, and has taken private studies i Paris and Berlin. She is to be found performing as a soloist in various oratorios and often work with local, Scandinavian and European chamber orchestras and ensembles.
As a choir- and ensemble singer she holds a position in the world renowned vocal ensemble Ars Nova Copenhagen who tours all over the world. In Copenhagen she sings in The Danish Radio (DR) Concert Choir who frequently performs with The Danish National Symphony Orchestra and in Vor Frue Cantori, which is broadcast daily on live TV and radio.
Hanne is a solid soloist and has a broad core repertoire within oratorio and church music as well as French chansons, German lieder and, as an example, Schönberg's Pierrot Lunaire which she performed with her own ensemble at the age of 23.
As a contemporary singer and performer, Hanne works both as a vocalist and non-vocal body worker and improvisator, often in collaboration with other artists and groups such as Scenatet, Jeppe Ernst, Barbara Skovmand Thomsen, Toke Odin, Maarit Mustonen, Bellbird and Michael Rexen, who's band she sings and arranges the choir parts for.
In addition to her musical career, Hanne works as a body- and psychotherapist with training in Omnitherapy and existential psycholohy. She has worked as a mentor in aftercare groups for domestic abused women and now works with individual clients. On a daily basis Hanne lives with her son on a boat in Copenhagen, rides motorcycle and uses her hands creating and fixing things.
