Hanne Marie le Fevre is a classically trained mezzo soprano and performance artist. As a singer she works both as a soloist and ensemble singer, mainly in the field of early and contemporary music. She is to be found performing as a soloist in various oratorios and often work with local and Scandinavian chamber orchestras.
As a choir- and ensemble singer she works in Holmens Choir and Vocal Ensemble and The Danish National Concert Choir who frequently performs with The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Fabio Luisi. Since 2017 she has been a member of the world renowned vocal ensemble Ars Nova Copenhagen, who specializes in the interpretation of the polyphonic choral music of the renaissance and new contemporary vocal music.
As a contemporary singer and performer, Hanne works both as a vocalist and non-vocal body worker and improvisator, often in collaboration with other artists such as Finnish artist Marit Mustonen, with whom she created RE-SONATE – a creative improvisation later joined a publishment by Forlaget Gestus. She is a part of the group of artists working with composer Jeppe Ernst, whose works she has done several of and she is also working with Scenatet.
Besides her engagement in the field of music, performance and production, she has a political beating heart and passion for exploring new kinds of communities, education and communication forms. She is educated within existential psychology, now studying psycho- and body theraphy and has in connection to this worked as a mentor for survivors of domestic violence. In the freetime she rides motorcycle and uses her hands creating and fixing things.
